The Safer Crowds, Safer Venues conference will bring together the numerous creative, operational, and safety functions essential for hosting activities of all scales, offering a 360° perspective of the planning process and delivery environment for professionals in the events and festivals industry.
The conference will be relevant to a wide audience, including crowd management professionals, local authorities, venue owners, arts organisations, promoters, students, and event organisers, and will feature speakers and training sessions tailored for all skill levels.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by: Baroness Casey, who will discuss the 2020 Wembley disorder; Laurence Taylor, Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DACSO), Metropolitan Police, who will talk about the challenges of policing events and festivals; and Heather Baily, Chair of the SIA, who will speak on the role of private security in festivals and events.
