Anne Marie Chebib has been the Company Owner and Managing Director of Select Security and Stewarding Ltd for over two decades. In that time, she has become one of the most well-respected Crowd Management practitioners and consultants for the special events industry with a reputation for the formulation of elegant solutions to challenging problems.
She is the Chair of the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association (UKCMA) , which is the leading association on crowd management and associated practices. Preceding that role, she was the Secretary of the UKCMA for over 15 years. This work has led to regular representation on consultation committees and with Government and stakeholders, contributing to roundtables, inquiries and panels. Recent achievements include the principal authorship of the Safer Crowds, Safer Venues- Good Practice for Crowd Management in UK Performance and Licensed Spaces.
She is a leading member of the Global Crowd Management Alliance’s Secretariat (GCMA), which represents worldwide crowd management and security services industry within both public and private sectors.
Her specialties include strategic planning, agency liaison and the management of projects and personnel. Her further interests include resilience, continuity planning and sustainability.
She takes her responsibilities seriously but likes to smile. Appreciates a well-prepared cup of tea as much as a well-designed event control room.
