ADIPS Ltd

ADIPS is the fairground and amusement park industry’s own adopted standard for inspection and certification of fairground rides and amusement devices.

Created by the major industry trade associations – in close consultation with the HSE – to improve safety standards and increase public confidence.

Fairgrounds and amusement parks are relatively safe when compared with other leisure activities and, in fact, represent some of the safest leisure activities of all. Each year inspections are carried out by an independent ride inspection body, whose capability to perform competent and independent inspection is assessed and monitored on an ongoing basis under the ADIPS scheme.

ADIPS supports the holistic safety approach to the amusement industry which include aspects of Crowd Control and security.
