With 25 years’ experience in the events industry, Ian has worked in most areas of event production and development. Having focussed on event safety with his events production company up to 2021 Ian changed direction to take a roll driving the future of events for his home City of Brighton and Hove in 2022.
Since moving into the public sector Ian has dedicated himself to improving the landscape for events at home while striving for better consistency and standards across the UK through his work as a committee member with the Local Authority Events Organisers Group (LAEOG) and subsequently as a director with the EIF, helping to modernise the Purple Guide.
